Cookie Policy
Cookies are small files a site stores on your device. This page lists exactly what we use, what each one is for, and how long it lasts — and gives you a way to change your mind whenever you want.

1. The short version
Nothing optional runs until you say yes. When you first arrive, only the cookies needed to serve the site are set. Analytics and marketing stay switched off unless you turn them on, and "Reject all" is exactly as easy to click as "Accept all".
2. What we set
Strictly necessary. These make the site work and cannot be switched off.

That is currently the only entry. We do not set an analytics or marketing cookie today — the controls exist so that when we add one, it cannot run before you have agreed to it. If that changes, this table changes with it and the date at the top of the page moves.
3. Categories you control
- Strictly necessary — page delivery, security, and remembering your choice. Always on; no consent is required for these under PECR.
- Analytics — aggregated statistics about which pages are read and how people move through the site. Off unless you switch it on.
- Marketing — measuring whether a campaign brought you here, and limiting repeat adverts. Off unless you switch it on.
4. Third parties
This site is served from our own infrastructure and does not embed third-party trackers, social widgets or advertising pixels.
One exception is worth naming plainly: our typefaces are currently requested from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts a Google server and Google sees your IP address when the page loads. No cookie is set by that request. We are moving these files onto our own servers to remove the request entirely.
5. Changing your mind
Use the link — it is in the footer of every page — to change your choice at any time. Turning a category off stops anything new in that category immediately.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you refuse them entirely. If you do that, the strictly necessary items above stop working and parts of the site may not behave as expected.
6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honour the Global Privacy Control signal: if your browser sends one, we treat it as a refusal of the optional categories and do not show the banner as though no choice had been made.
